APOLOGIES!
I haven't added a new post in about a week now- I've been slacking!
I have a good excuse though... I was spending much needed time with my mom who flew in from Connecticut. With that, the holiday, catching a case of extreme exhaustion AND finals this week I have been completely unmotivated to add any new posts... until now!
Because I have some fabulous news...
My school recently put together an art show featuring a variety of student work including fine art and design pieces. There were several categories you could enter your work under. The instructors got together and decided on first, second and third place winners in each category. I decided to enter my Endangered Species Chimpanzee Drawing and my Marilyn Monroe Pen & Ink project. Well, I wasn't able to make it to the actual art show, but come to find out I had placed!
My chimpanzee drawing had won "Best In Show"! What an honor!
I wasn't expecting to be recognized for this and it feels pretty good. I worked countless hours on this project and feel that it was probably the best drawing I have ever done. It's nice to know other people can see the effort that went into it :)
