{Follow up from previous post: Well, this is embarassing...}
Sooo... remember this horrific picture I showed you a couple weeks ago?
I'm excited to announce that the hoarder room has been completely transformed and I can barely contain my excitement!
I personally think it's quite the improvement... you be the judge:
YAYYYY!!!!
There were a couple newly purchased items to complete the room...
Hubby's new desk, white bookcase, black storage boxes, and new bedding were all from Walmart, and that fabulous rug is from Target... it really ties the room together, yes?
I just have to say this would not have been accomplished had it not been for my amazing, strong, handyman husband! The bookshelf and the desk all had to be put together and my hubby was sweating it out in frustration for a couple hours making sure it was done before we went to bed. It was around 11:00 PM when we finally got done, we sat at our desks now next to each other, sipped on some much needed alcohol, and passed out shortly after.
WHAT A DAY!
And now we can't stop looking at it and showing it off to everyone that comes over. We are in here all the time! The futon is usually in a sofa position so it's a little more roomy, but since my mom is in town this week we switched it to the bed position which works great too. The whole room just works very well for all of our needs... we love it so much!
I still have a couple more things to add accessory-wise, mainly to fill that large space above my desk...
*giggles mischievously*
It's a secret right now but here are some clues:
1. It included a trip to the antique store...
2. It's a D.I.Y. project to include paint and chicken wire...
3. I'm making one for me AND one for my giveaway winner!
I probably gave it away (because I'm awful at keeping secrets), but can you guess what it might be? :)

poor sammmmmm.. i feel so bad for you guys! i would be so sad if boo had to stay in a cage for 4 weeks, but you have to do what's best for him and what will have him up and running the soonest! once he's all better i'm sure he won't care (or remember) that he had to lay around for 4 weeks. Boo has already forgotten that jumping off the couch is a bad idea! i don't know how to keep him from doing it.. he jumps up there with no problem! and he refuses to use doggie stairs. monster i tell you.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out pretty nice. I bet it took a lot of weight off your shoulders! I know it would mine. Very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteWow! Just wow! Totally radical!
ReplyDeleteWOW! omg! This is like, mind blowing! Love your whole layout of the room! haha you should come over and I'd pay you to do mine hahaha just kidding!
ReplyDeleteEver tried interior design? you're GOOD!
