I sometimes catch myself wearing my blog colors... do you ever do that?
Sometimes I don't even do it on purpose. I'll notice it halfway through the day and suddenly feel completely on brand!
This happened last week, so I made Josh take some pictures of me in my favorite yellow cardigan from F21. I love yellow. The color seems to compliment my skin tone and instantly makes me feel bright and happy!
I paired it with my favorite black tee from H&M, gray work pants from Victoria's Secret, and some flashy earrings from F21.
Confession?
I feel silly doing outfit posts. I don't even know why I do them. I figure you guys need to be reminded of what I look like? Who knows.
I just know I'm not on trend, I hate being in front of the camera, and I don't know how to pose outside the "hand on hip" (despite watching literally every episode of America's Next Top Model).
You can't even see my shoes because they are flats and blending in with the lawn... I guess I could have thrown on some heels for the picture, but frankly, they hurt.
Am I getting old? Or just lazy?

What are your blog colors?
Get dressed up, have a photoshoot, and show off your brand!

Haha, I love this! I played with the idea of outfit posts for a while but the idea just makes me cringe. And if it helps, you always look lovely in yours :) Better to be comfortable and have your own style than to be keeping up with trends anyway ;)
ReplyDeleteI often find myself in my blog colours. I once wore nail varnish the exact shades of purple and blue that are in my header for an entire week..
I do hands on hips, hands in pockets and hands held together in front of me like, " what do I do with my hands? " poses. That's it.
ReplyDeleteMy blog colors are blue and white though I hope that changes come fall. I adore dark oranges and would like my blog to look a little more me. Right now it's kinda frilly and I am SOOOOO not frilly!
You look adorable no matter what!
Not a lot of people look good in yellow but you really pull it off!
ReplyDeleteI have not done any outfit posts yet but I feel like they can work well if you feel like posting them! I would not worry about trends or anything...just being comfortable and happy with what you are wearing!
I LOVE yellow! It's one of my favorites. I've coveted the yellow Michael Kors bag (the one with the chain straps) for about 5 years now. And you're right. It's bright and an instant mood lifter. You're outfit is cute, so don't worry!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who dresses like my blog! haha
ReplyDeleteHere's an old pic of me in my blog colors: http://www.flickr.com/photos/eef-ink/6070146230/in/set-72157626693688872
Hah, I've said it before but I'll just go ahead and say it again..You're just precious! :) I've never done an outfit post..probably won't until I slim down a bit haha. High for to us though for being able to pull of yellow. You look great in mustard!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I am going to have to do this... PS love your blog colors!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! That really is a great color on you, and honestly, I like personal style more than on-trend.
ReplyDeleteI guess one of my blog colors is purple? I wear that sometimes, but I won't be posting any outfit photos. I don't think anyone would be interested in the flowery skorts I bought in the kids' section at Target. Ah, the limitations of height and budget. ;)
We had family pictures done a couple of weeks ago and I felt like such an idiot because I had no idea how to stand! Can't wait to see how they turned out, hopefully I don't look too ridiculous :)
ReplyDeleteDon't you love how "work pants" are totally a thing? Not slacks, or dress pants, WORK PANTS. :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteand....
WHERE'S YOUR SMIZE, GIRL?! :)
I can't do outfit posts. For one, I wouldn't be able to name where half of my clothes come from since most of it I stole from my sisters or bought at a local thrift store. For two, I'm super awkward when it comes to modeling anything and don't really even consider myself that fashionable anyway. If it were up to me, I'd just wear leggings and random sweaters like it's still the 1980s all day every day.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, you look gorg in all these photos. Despite what you think, I THINK you've got it goin' on!
Very cute outfit! Classy and pretty :)
ReplyDeletemy colors change a lot. :) my favorite is orange and turquoise, but right now my blog colors are coral and grey. i love the coral trend. you can really wear yellow! that's awesome because not many people can. i wish i could, but i'm sticking to keeping the yellow on my feet. i just love your haircut!!

For as photogenic as I think I an be, I'm terrible in front of a camera as soon as I want to show off an outfit or "model"! But you. You look great! And mustard is one of my absolute favorite colors to wear! Like you, I think it compliments my skin tone!
ReplyDeleteAnd even though I'm short, I prefer flats too. I used to be able to wear heels all the live long day. What happened? Old at 27?
Confession? I just started doing outfit posts and I feel silly doing them too. But whatevs!
ReplyDeleteI love the wearing your blog colors idea. However, if I wore my blog colors I would look like cotton candy. Or a 5 year old princess. Or... something.
The yellow on you looks so good! I wish I could pull that off as yellow is one of my fave colours ever!
ReplyDeleteI don't really catch myself wearing the purple piece in my blog but all the other colours are basically wardrobe staples :)
ummmm, for not liking outfit posts, you are damn good. seriously. you should see mine. I've only done one or two (I think) but one is of my chest and the other of my legs. that's it. nothing else. you, my dear, have talent.
ReplyDeletekristen, i love this!
ReplyDeletemy fave photos were when i was in my blog colors... zebra and coral (which actually weren't my colors at the time). that outfit is what inspired my colors!!
you are b-e-a-utiful! love it!
I do this ALL the time. ;) You're adorable, lady!
