Designing Nikki Joy

Hey there friends! How was the weekend? I'm feeling refreshed and optimistic about the week ahead, especially because it's officially fall time... hallelujah!

One of the highlights of my weekend (besides finishing the first season of Boardwalk Empire - ahmazing!) was finishing up a new blog design over at Nikki Joy! I wanted to share the experience a little more graphically this time, so take a look at the design board below:

(...thank you Katelyn Brooke Designs for the lovely design board inspiration!)

I have to say I am so thrilled with the result - it feels simple, clean, creative, and colorful. My favorite part has to be her "About Me/Welcome" design. At first she wasn't 100% on the wording, so we worked together to come up with a dictionary-definition look, which I thought was so clever and different!

I know her favorite part was the social media buttons. I accidentally included a Twitter button when she didn't have an account, and she loved them so much it inspired her to get one... YOU'RE WELCOME NIKKI! ;)

What do you guys think? Make sure to go see it in live mode and don't forget to follow her!

Nikki, thank you for reaching out to me to design your blog - it was such a pleasure :)
