I find whenever I'm designing a logo, business card, or blog design, sometimes I will prod and fiddle for an hour before I remember the rotate tool. I'm always pleasantly surprised that a single tilt can make all the difference, and can bring a design from boring to brilliant.
I'm not the only one inspired... check out how many ways an angle can change your perspective:

I love angles and I LOVE that bookshelf!
ReplyDeleteI like so much in this post. The bedroom, the bathroom, the bookshelf, the drawer. I actually like putting things on an angle from time to time. My TV is in a corner-does that count?
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post! Ahhh!

Is it sad that I'd gladly trade my queen size bed for that adorable bedroom?? I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love it - thanks for the awesome reminder!
ReplyDeleteSo awesome! Love that bathroom!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your perspective, K!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I just found your blog and am following you now!
ReplyDeleteMy fiance actually did this...but with his resume! (He's an industrial designer) Needless to say, he received many compliments about his resume standing out among the masses and landed a pretty sweet job on top of it all :)
Funny how a little change in perspective can go a loooong way.

The slanted wall collage, perfection.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, sweets!
Sometimes a slight shift is all you need to make something good - great. And sometimes (if you're lucky) it changes the entire feel and perspective completely. Great post KV - always making me think.
ReplyDeleteI really loved this post!! :) It was such a different topic - I want to bring some cool angles into my apt! Like the comment above me...you got me thinkin'!

This is an excellent point. I always get stuck with straightness too, for some reason. I'm going to try out some angles in my upcoming designs and see what happens! ;)
